Terms of Use
Your agreement
These Terms govern VideoHabits, formerly ViHabits and Self Mirror: Daily Goals, and its website https://videohabits.com, operated by Ethan Tran, an individual. By affirmatively agreeing when creating or reviewing your account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Contact [email protected] with questions. Only use the app where you are legally permitted to do so and can make this agreement, with a parent or guardian where applicable law requires it.
A tool for your own goals
VideoHabits helps you record intentions, review suggested goals, save progress, and share selected content. It is not an emergency service or a source of professional medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice. Motivational content does not promise a particular outcome.
AI suggestions can be incomplete, inaccurate, or delayed. Check titles, deadlines, and other details before Save my day. AI permission is a separate, optional choice; agreeing to these Terms does not authorize third-party AI processing. Manual features remain available where supported.
Your account and content
Use accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. Apple relay identities and different sign-in methods can create separate app accounts; they are not automatically merged.
You retain ownership of your content. You give us the limited permission needed to store, transmit, process, and display it to operate the features you choose, including optional AI processing and sharing with selected recipients. This permission does not transfer ownership of your recordings or goals to us.
Upload or share only content you have the right and permission to use. Do not use the app for unlawful conduct, infringement, harassment, threats, exploitation, spam, bypassing access or usage limits, or attempts to access another person’s private content. You can block and report inappropriate shared content.
Recipients may make copies of shared content. Unsharing or deletion can stop future access through the app but cannot recall those copies. Choose recipients carefully.
Access, subscriptions, and Apple billing
New users complete personalization, save a first recording, and review their own goals before choosing a required Apple subscription to enter the app. An eligible Apple introductory trial or paid subscription must be active and server-verified. A server-timed 24-hour recording allowance, referral allowance, or beta invitation does not satisfy this subscription requirement. Existing accounts outside the required onboarding cohort retain their existing access rules unless explicitly reset for testing. Resetting onboarding preserves existing Apple subscriptions and cannot reset Apple trial eligibility. Storage and processing limits can apply, including the current limits of 60 processing minutes per rolling 30 days and 1 GB of media per account, with applicable retries.
Subscription price, billing period, and any offer are displayed by Apple before purchase using your localized price. Payment requires your confirmation through Apple. Subscriptions renew according to the terms Apple displays unless you cancel through your Apple account. Cancellation generally stops future renewal; Apple determines billing and refund handling under its policies and applicable law.
Use Restore Purchases on the subscription screen to reconcile eligible purchases. Deleting the app or your app account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel it through Apple. Canceling renewal preserves verified access through the subscription expiry date. For accounts in required onboarding, expired or unverified subscription access returns to the subscription screen; saved history and replay require renewed verified access. Restore Purchases, Manage Subscription, Terms, Privacy, sign-out, and account deletion remain available there. Accounts outside that cohort retain their existing history and replay access rules. Privacy requests, deletion assistance, or unsharing assistance are also available through the contact address in these Terms.
Apple’s applicable store terms and standard end-user license terms also apply to the iPhone app. These Terms do not replace a separate license supplied through Apple.
Service availability and account decisions
Features can change, be limited, or be interrupted. Live processing, reminders, uploads, or recovery may not work in every device or network condition. There is no guaranteed processing time, uninterrupted service, or goal outcome. Keep independent copies of content that is important to you.
We may restrict use that violates these Terms or threatens the service or other people. We will preserve privacy/deletion assistance and rights required by applicable law. You may stop using the app and delete your account through Settings.
Your legal rights and updates
To the extent permitted by applicable law, VideoHabits is provided as available, without a promise that it will be error-free or fit every purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights, warranties, remedies, or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
We will identify changes by a new version/date and ask for renewed agreement where appropriate. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you can keep access to privacy and deletion controls and contact [email protected] for help. Acceptance of updated Terms remains separate from AI-processing permission.
