HOW IT WORKS · UPDATED NOVEMBER 4, 2026
By Ethan Tran, founder of VideoHabits.
Your video diary.
A clearer day.
VideoHabits is a video journal and daily goals app for individual iPhone users. It is not a team task manager; an Android app is not offered.
Record what matters today.
Start with a short video reflection in your own words. A few pages, a walk, or a call is enough. Your recording stays available with your saved day.
Review your goals before saving.
With your separate AI permission, transcription and goal suggestions help turn your words into a checklist. Edit the wording, amounts, and deadlines before saving. If you prefer to skip AI processing, you can enter your own goals manually instead.
Come back without the pressure.
Choose reminder frequency, active hours, and tone. You can pause or snooze reminders whenever you need room in your day. Review your recording, check off a goal, and add an optional picture or video. Return to saved-day history to rewatch your recordings and see how your year unfolded. Your next small step still matters after a missed day.
Share only what you choose.
Preview a Friends post before publishing. Choose whether to include your video or evidence. Selected goals and completion progress can be seen by current and future accepted friends. You can unshare a post when you no longer want friends to see it. Your private recording library is not opened to your friends when you share a post.
Keep goals close with widgets.
In supported native builds, Home Screen widgets show saved-goal progress and open the app when tapped. Open the installed app first, then add widgets from the iOS widget gallery. Widget availability depends on the installed beta build and iOS. iOS controls when your widgets refresh, so updates may not appear right away. Widgets do not record videos or mark your goals complete for you.
Understand storage, AI, and subscriptions.
Cloud content is private by default and is not end-to-end encrypted. Choosing manual goals disables AI processing, not cloud storage. See the Privacy Policy for provider processing, retention, and deletion details.
Beta is free. App Store pricing will be published here before launch. New members complete their first recording and review before choosing a required Apple subscription. Apple shows your local price and any eligible trial before you make a purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the settings in your Apple account. TestFlight in-app purchases are free during beta testing and do not transfer to the App Store release.
